Our Core Belief
Ideal Park Church is part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA). We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, the only infallible rule for faith and life.
At the center of our faith is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, sent by the Father to redeem the world. Through his faithful life, his death for our sins, and his resurrection, Jesus defeated the power of sin and death. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we follow him with hope, seeking to love our neighbors and reflect God’s kingdom through our words and actions.
As a Reformed church, we affirm the historic teachings of the Christian faith through the Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed, and the Reformed confessions – the Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, and Canons of Dort. Alongside these, our denomination also recognizes contemporary testimonies, Our World Belongs To God, that speak to faith, unity, justice, and reconciliation in today’s world.
